Rudy Martinez, 81, of Floresville, Texas embraced God on February 6, 2025 in the comfort of his home in San Antonio, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather who dedicated his life to his family.
Rudy will be remembered as a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 33 years. He took pride in providing for his family and proved it by spending majority of his career working two jobs as a butcher. He often expressed his love through acts of service, always putting others before himself. When he wasn't working, he found joy in dancing with his wife to their favorite tunes, making unforgettable memories on camping trips with his grandkids, cheering on his favorite baseball teams and boxing matches, and unwinding with a cold drink. His love and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Beatris Martinez; sister Dora Prayor; brothers Fred Martinez Jr. and Waldo Martinez.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Marylou Martinez; daughters Connie Martinez, Margie Rodriguez, and Rosemary Valles (Ignacio); sons Rudy Martinez Jr., Ricky Rodriguez, Ray Rodriguez (Nadia), and Rudy Rodriguez (Cindy); brother Peter Martinez; 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews among other family members and friends.
He was loved by all and will be deeply missed, but the family takes comfort in knowing that they will see him again.
