Ruislet Jean-Philippe
Of Waltham, passed away peacefully Tuesday November 21st, 2023 at Newton - Wellesley Hospital with loving family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 66.
Born on October 27, 1957 in Pétion-Ville, Haiti ; son of the late Anazaee Jean-Philippe and Polyciana Casimir. Ruislet was raised and educated in Haiti. He immigrated to the United States as a young man in 1987 and has resided in Waltham for the past 25 years.
From a young age Ruislet had a strong work ethic, always looking for ways to provide for his family. He had been employed as a Mechanic with Speedy Muffler then Meineke Car Care and Monroe Mufflers on Lexington Street in Waltham. Most recently and until his retirement in September of 2022, Ruislet had been employed with the City of Waltham Building Custodial Department. He had worked as a Custodian for several city buildings but most often Waltham City Hall.
Ruislet loved being around his family and friends. He had a strong faith in his God and served as a Pastor for his church the Seventh Angel's Message Tabernacle.
He was a simple man that lived a simple life; he was kind and generous with a wonderful sense of humor but above all he was an incredible husband, father, son, brother and uncle to many. They will all miss him dearly.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Marie Marthe (Delly) Jean-Philippe; his devoted & loving children Wolf, Esther and Ruislet Jr. all of Waltham; his dear siblings Renal Jean-Philippe, Yanick Delly Jean-Philippe, Frankel Jean-Philippe, Rev. Amos Jean-Philippe and Oberge Jean-Philippe all of Waltham and the late Lisette Jean-Philippe. In addition, he is survived by many nieces & nephews.
Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Ruislet's life to remember the love and friendship he shared with others at a Funeral Service in the New Covenant Church of Cambridge, 527 Main Street, WALTHAM on SATURDAY morning DECEMBER 9th at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at Mount Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
Those who wish to pay their respects to Ruislet and his family can do so a period of viewing at the New Covenant Church of Cambridge, 527 Main Street, WALTHAM prior to the funeral service on SATURDAY DECEMBER 9th from 8am until 9am.
