Salvatore Bruno Obituary

Born to the late Salvatore and Jean C. Bruno (Hall) in Brookline, Massachusetts on October 20th, 1948.
Despite various limitations, Sal lived a full life filled with courage, determination and spunk. After living at 753 VFW Parkway West Roxbury for many years, he moved to 630 VFW Parkway two years ago as his needs changed. Sal adjusted well to this change and the staff at 630 VFW Parkway embraced and welcomed him into their family.
Sal took great joy interacting with others and traveling. Just a few weeks ago, he vacationed on Cape Cod, and it boosted his spirits being part of the fun. A few years prior, he travelled to Jamaica. Though visually impaired, he had an amazing ability to recognize and appreciate the people who cared for him. Quiet at times, Sal was clever, quick-witted and could always respond to others in an insightful way.
We will all miss Sal's endearing qualities and quiet presence. May he truly rest in eternal peace.
Predeceased by his parents, Salvatore and Jean Bruno (Hall).
Sal is survived by his beloved friends, the staff at 630 VFW Parkway and his community of friends at the May Institute.
Friends and family are welcome to gather and remember the love and friendship Sal shared during visiting hours on Thursday, October 23rd from 10 AM - 11Am with a Celebration of Sal's Life beginning at 11AM in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco and Sons Memorial Chapels, located 773 Moody Street Waltham. Parking attendants will be on duty.
Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery located, 355 Walk Hill Street Mattapan, Massachusetts 02126.
