Russell Irwin Burgdahl entered into eternal rest on September 8, 2024. Beloved husband of Kathleen Mattingly Burgdahl. Father of Barrett Burgdahl (Lauren Dickson) and stepfather of Colleen Tifft (Billy). Papa of Rowan and Rori. Son of the late Samuel Burgdahl and Anna Mae Ritter Burgdahl. Brother of Joyce Comment (Richard Sr.). Also survived by longtime friend and business partner Steven Graves, and a host of extended family and friends. Age 78 years, a native of New Orleans and resident of Gretna, LA. Russell was a graduate of Tulane University School of Architecture and practiced in the greater New Orleans Area for over 50 years. He was an avid New York Yankees baseball fan and loved New Orleans music. He will be deeply missed. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Cletus Catholic Church, Gretna, LA on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 1 PM. Interment Private.
