Russell Carson Obituary
Russell L Carson of Economy Boro, PA passed away on March 1, 2024 in Naples, Florida after suffering a stroke.
Russell was born in Bedford, PA to parents Warren H, Carson and Shirley C, Carson. He attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he enjoyed participating in Chorale, Glee Club and met his wife, Wendy (Klatte). Upon graduation, he became an Elementary teacher, and, later, an Elementary Principal.
Russ enjoyed assembling jigsaw puzzles, watching movies and, especially, traveling with his wife and spending time at the beach, collecting shells. The couple also enjoyed fussing over their dogs throughout their 41 year marriage.
Russ retired from education in 2013 from Armstrong School District. In retirement, he enjoyed assorted part time jobs, all of which involved driving. Most recently, he enjoyed driving for the Butler Auto Auction and Star Limousine Service.
Russell is preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert (Jean) Carson and sister Jacqueline (Charles) Pensyl. He is survived by his wife Wendy, sister Diane (Brian) Beegle, brothers Richard (Elizabeth) and Rodney (Barbara) and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Russ' ashes will be spread in the Gulf of Mexico in a private ceremony near his beloved Marco Island, Florida. Friends and family will be welcomed to celebrate his memory on Monday, March 11 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Economy Boro Social Hall, 2856 Conway Wallrose Road, Baden PA 15005.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Beaver County Humane Society.
