Russell C. "Mickey" Drummond

Russell "Mickey" Clarence Drummond, 82, of Brooksville, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 1, 2024.
He was born on September 28, 1941 in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Russell and Marjorie Drummond.
Mickey graduated in 1960 from Washington Irvin High School in Clarksburg, West Virginia. In 1961 he attended Barber College in Akron, Ohio. After many years of experience; he became owner of Four Shears in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and later in years owner of A Cut Above in Akron, Ohio.
On June 13, 1961 he married his college sweetheart and love of his life, Donna Drummond. They bought their first house in Ellet, Ohio and their second home purchased was in Greensburg, Ohio.
They moved to Brooksville, Florida in 1981 purchasing his great grandfather's house. He opened up his first barber shop "Mickeys Family Hair Design" in Brooksville in 1998 until he closed his doors in 2021.
Mickey did attend and complete the Police Academy in Inverness, Florida on a side note.
Some of his hobbies he enjoyed was working on cars, mowing the yard, and playing the Saxophone and Guitar; loved riding his motorcycle and swimming in his pool.
He was raised in The Assembly of God Church; raised his family in the Assembly of God Church and he would preach Sunday school; led song services and preached when needed to fill in for the preacher. He loved talking about God and leading people to the Lord.
Mickey had the patience of a saint with his very demanding wife.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.
He is survived by his children, Mike Drummond and his wife, Sheila; Traci Bush and her husband, Byron; Rusty Drummond and his wife, Heather; Lisa Gray and her husband, Jeff; grandchildren, Tricia, Baylee, Kaycee, Corey, Heather, Joey, Taylor, Camdyn, Jeffery, David and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Lucas, Alaina, Jack, Evan, Matthew, and Theo; his sister, Joanne Marlette and loving family and friends.

I will cherish the memories of our late-night phone calls and reading the Bible together.

I will miss the many conversations we had especially while driving back and forth to work. I will miss getting his advice.
