Russell Owen Edgecomb

Russell Owen Edgecomb, 76, of Flora, entered Heavens Gate, Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in Kokomo. Russell was born on August 23, 1948, in Modesto, California to Owen R. and Irene Fisher Edgecomb. Russell married Ronda Wray in June 1977, and she preceded him in January of 2017. Russell was born and raised in Ripon, California. He lived and worked in the central valley area until moving to Flora in 2018. He was a truck driver for the US Postal Service. During war time Russell proudly served his CO service time in eastern Kansas. Russell attended the Cutler Ridge district of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church New Conference. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He repaired and built fishing reels and rods. Russell is survived by two sons: Shawn (Lindsey) Edgecomb of Japan and Shane (Lisa) Edgecomb of Colorado. Sister: Norma (Meredith) Wagoner of Flora. Six grandchildren. He is preceded by his parents Owen and Irene Edgecomb, wife Rhonda Edgecomb and brother Phillip Edgecomb. Family and friends are invited to visit Friday, June 27, 2025, at Cutler Ridge District of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral is to be held at 10:00am Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the church. Officiating will be the Home Brethren Steven Skiles. Russell will be laid to rest next to his wife in Modesto, California.
