Maurica Michelle Edgecomb

June 6, 1959-March 19, 2025

Maurica Michelle Edgecomb, 65, of New Carlisle, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Hamilton Communities, Inc. in New Carlisle, IN.

She was born June 6, 1959 in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Robert Dale Edgecomb and Catherine (Hoffmaster) Edgecomb.

Maurica was a lifelong resident of the area and a devoted Christian. She was a draftsman and enjoyed working on travel trailer designs. Maurica loved the great outdoors. She was passionate about gardening and tending to her flowers, while watching all the beautiful birds that perched nearby. Riding her motorcycles gave Maurica a sense of freedom as she traveled around the countryside. She was devoted to her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Maurica is survived by her daughter, Amber Coffman of Elkhart, IN; her sisters, Lawanna Edgecomb of LaPorte, IN, Lorita (Rod) Trammel of TX, Melia Melton; five grandchildren, Lily, Corey, Tyler, McKenna and Landon and two great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Maurica was preceded in death by her son, Dustin Garner; sister, Marcheta Hine; brother, Robert Dale Edgecomb; adopted sister, Angela Edgecomb.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends for a visitation, Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 11:00 until service time at 1:00 with Chaplain Charlie officiating. Cremation will take place.
