Judy passed away suddenly on March 18, 2025, due to complications from pneumonia. She was born on June 3, 1940 to the late James and Evelyn Shea (Gagnon).

Judy had been living at Bowman Place Assisted Living in Bedford, NH for the past two years. Bowman Place was the best place for Judy. They helped her come out of her shell and engage in activities with other residents and socialize in the final years of her life. She lived her best years there. She was truly happy and engaged, building relationships with staff and residents alike.

She loved to color. It was her favorite thing to do either by herself or with her granddaughters. She saved a lot of her coloring sheets and wrote a note to her granddaughters, letting them know what it meant to her to be able to have that time with them. When she was younger, she loved to play cards for quarters. The family used to do this every Saturday night, usually by the pool and sometimes with friends. This will always be a cherished memory. Her pool was her other favorite place to be and she absolutely loved her home that she built with her late husband, Robert (Bob) Edgecomb. It was very difficult for her to leave that home when it came time to move into Assisted Living.

Judy was a stay-at-home mom for many years, only working for a few years as a lunch lady at a school or as a pharmacy tech at Rite Aid. She helped her husband manage the books for his businesses and kept a meticulous home. She was organized and clean. She was also a hairdresser by trade prior to having children.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Edgecomb, grandson, Raymond Duval, brother-in-law, Richard Rondeau and her nephew Paul Rondeau.

She is survived by her sister, Evelyn Rondeau, son’s David and Dwayne Smith, daughter, Lynne Duval (Smith) and her husband Jay Duval, niece, Raeanne Rondeau, nephew, Roger Rondeau and her grandchildren, Jennifer Majoy, Justine Smith, Jessica Smith, David Hill, Satiah Duval, Bryanna LoPilato, Guiliana LoPilato and James Duval II.

A graveside service will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery, 14 Pepperell Road, Brookline, NH, on Saturday June 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM followed by a gathering at Lynne and Jay’s home in Brookline, NH.
