Russell A. "Russ" Folsom
Of Marlborough, formerly of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 29th, 2023, at the age of 61.
Born on August 6, 1962 in Waltham; beloved son of the late Esther (McIntyre) Folsom and Ronald Folsom Sr. Russ was raised and educated in Waltham and has been a resident of Marlborough for many years.
A graduate of Waltham High School; Russ worked his Internship at GTE and for over 26 years at the M.I.T. Draper Laboratory for over 26 years.
Many of his different hobbies & interests included; photography, being a huge history buff, and a ghost writer for military books. From a young age he had a passion for sailboats and being on the ocean. He also enjoyed watching his Turner Classic Movies.
He is survived by his devoted & loving sister Lynne M. Cercone of Framingham and was predeceased by his dear brothers Ronald Folsom Jr. and Richard Folsom. In addition, he is survived by his cherished nieces and nephew; Jennifer, Emily, Lindsay and Justin; his adoring great nieces and nephews, Isabelle, Jack, Hadley and Taeo; his dear aunt Elaine Pantos, and best friend Michael Wheaton.
Those who wish to pay their respects to Russ and his family may do so in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, Waltham on MONDAY, December 4th, from 10 am to 12 pm. Parking attendants will be on duty.
Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Russell's life to remember the love and friendship he shared with others at a Funeral Service in The Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons on MONDAY, December 4th at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick's Cemetery in Watertown.
