Ruth Wright Archer, 92 of Griffin, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Brightmoor Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

Ruth was born on June 23, 1933, in Pinehurst, Georgia to the late George B. Wright and the late Sannie Mae Brannan Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Archer; siblings and their spouses, Thomas Wright, Pearl Pattishall Wright, James Lamar Wright, Burford Wright, Chester Lee Wright, Edgar B. Wright, Ruby Wright MacChargue.

Ruth leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and deep faith. She loved the Lord with all her heart and attended South Side Baptist Church, where her warmth and kindness touched everyone around her. Ruth was a proud Atlanta Braves fan, a lover of gospel music, and someone who never passed up the chance to take a cruise or enjoy a good laugh. She embraced life fully and loved others freely, making every person feel welcomed and cherished. Above all, she was a wonderful mother and mother-in-law, whose generosity, joyful spirit, and genuine love for people will be remembered forever by all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, James Buford Archer (Sherry), Richard Earl Archer (Sherri); grandchild, James Blanton Archer; special friends, Terry and Debra Connolly; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel. Interment will follow the service in Griffin Memorial Gardens where she will laid to rest next to her husband, James.
