Ruth Bitondo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tuttle Funeral Home on Jan. 18, 2025.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth L. Bitondo, who passed away peacefully at Merry Heart Nursing on January 17, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born in East Orange, New Jersey, Ruth grew up in Livingston, where she was raised by her loving parents, Henry and Gertrude Bergmann. She went on to share a remarkable 60 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Robert J. Bitondo Sr., until his passing on November 8, 2021.
Ruth found joy and companionship in her retirement years, living in Lake Florida, where she was an active member of several board game clubs. She cherished the connections she made through these activities and spent countless happy hours socializing with friends.
Ruth is survived by her loving children: Lisa M. Bates and her husband Mark, and Robert J. Bitondo Jr. and his wife Mary. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren: Traci Stenavage and her husband Steven, Nicole Figarelli and her husband Joe, Eric Bates and his wife Stephanie, Steven Bates, and Robert Bitondo and his wife Kate. Ruth also leaves behind five beautiful great-grandchildren: Vavi, Gianna, Natalia, James, and Lilith, who brought her so much joy.
Services are being handled by Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Route 10 Randolph, NJ 07869. There will be a public visitation on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
