Mrs. Ruth A. (DeViller) Boyle, of North Weymouth, passed away peacefully at the age of 93, surrounded by her loving family on July 26, 2022.
Beloved wife of the late Peter E. Boyle. She was the proud mother of Janet L. Killinger and her husband James of Rockland, Peter M. Boyle and his wife Lily of Florida, Diane Chebator and her husband Paul of Rockland and Jean M. Sullivan and her husband Richard of Weymouth. Dear sister of the late June Bratton, Lorraine Zukowski, Joanne Nolan and Joseph DeViller. Loving grandmother of 9 grandchildren, Jolie, Rosemary. Jill, Michael, Cory, Eric, Kathy Ann, Melissa and Marybeth. Also survived by 12 cherished great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Anna (Travers) DeViller.
Ruth grew up in Boston and attended Charlestown High School. Her and her late husband Peter resided in North Weymouth for 66 years where they raised their family. She worked as a proofreader for many years at Recording and Statistical in Dorchester. Family was the cornerstone of Ruth's life and she loved spending time with them. Ruth enjoyed spending her winters with her late husband Peter in Madeira Beach, FL. She also enjoyed quilting, traveling and dancing.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 9:30 AM -10:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Ruth's family requests that all guests attending please wear a mask.
A Funeral Mass will follow in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Burial in Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland.
Donations in Ruth's memory may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60 Walnut St. Wellesley, MA 02481.
