Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, July 12, 2025 at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at The Paulk Funeral Home.
Ruth Cain was born October 24, 1942 in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Willie T. and Ruth Beck. Ruth was a stay at home mom until her children were grown and enjoyed working for Este Lauder at Macy's and Dillard's until she retired. Ruth enjoyed memberships at Evangel Assembly of God and Christian Heritage in Tallahassee, Florida and loved singing in the choir. She attended Lift Church in Venice, Florida since the early years of the church with her late husband, Roy Cain when they were in Venice, Florida.
She is survived by her son & daughter and their families: Denis & Christy Cain and Pam & Mike Burdette; grandkids: Jeff & Tara Clifford, Jason & Jessica Amburn, Zack & Courtney Lewis, Zac & Heather Cain, Tyler & Amanda Cain, Duane & Cierra Mesquita; great-grandkids: Brooke & Sydney Clifford, Brynlee & Cooper Lewis, Sailor & Daisy Cain, & Miles & Della Cain; Atlas Mesquita and one brother, Ronald Beck.
Paulk Funeral Home, Fitzgerald, is in charge of arrangements.

My favorite cousin!! I taught her to play the piano; I passed by biology bug collection at Paxon Jr High School, to her and she used the same bugs. I have many memories of her learning to tap dance, her hiding her bake-it-oven that she received as a child, and she and I and some other cousins singing gospel songs on top of the chicken house.

When she was dating Roy, She said she was in love with someone that looked like me!! I guess it worked.
