Ruth Elvira Cooper, 85, of West Terre Haute passed away on January 14, 2025. She was born in West Terre Haute, IN on October 5th, 1939, to Ralph and Ruth White Orndorff. She was married to her husband of 54 years, Albert Cooper who passed away on July 29th, 2012.
Ruth was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother. She loved to spend her time working puzzles, sewing, and her favorite collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.
She is survived by her children, Rochelle Bradford (Karl), Peggy Cooper, Dennis Cooper (Donna), Larry Cooper (Terri), and Mike Cooper (Abby); also surviving are 7 grandchildren; Chris and Andrew Bradford, Shaun Rader, Zaun Myers, Kerri, Derrick and Jon Cooper, and many great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband; Albert Cooper, her parents Ralph and Ruth Orndorff, three brothers; Byron, Dwight, and Sam Orndorff; and great-grandson Kolby Lane Cooper.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Wabash Valley for their exceptional care.
In keeping with her wish’s cremation was chosen with a burial of ashes to be held at a later date. Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute, IN 47885 was trusted with arrangements.
