Plainfield, Indiana – Ruth Davis, 91, passed away on March 6, 2026, while being comforted by her friends and family. Her kindness, her giving nature, and most of all, her love, will be forever missed by all who knew her.
Ruth was born in Augsburg, Germany, to parents Franz & Anna (Huber) Heinlin, on May 28, 1934. Ruth worked as a weaver for several years while in Germany, until she immigrated to the United States after marrying her beloved husband, Ronald Davis. She still loved her traditional German heritage and kept many mementos.
Ruth’s life was devoted to her family. She loved them dearly, and being the giver that she was, wanted them to have anything they needed.
When not being the caretaker of the family, Ruth enjoyed reading mystery novels, crocheting keepsakes for her friends and family, and was a master baker and cook.
In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Davis.
She is survived by her children, Tina Zellers (BZ), and Michael Davis (Shelly); siblings Kurt Heinlin and Maria Heinlin; grandchildren Ross, Courtney, Cindy, and Bryan; as well as 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229) from 10 – 12 pm with services following at 12 pm. Pastor Rick Harding will be presiding.
