Ruth C. Giorgio, of Dunmore, died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at Mountain View Care Center, Scranton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas F. "Herky" Giorgio, on Sept. 13, 2016.
Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Carolyn Zech Mittan, and was a graduate of Dunmore High School. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Samuel Cali Insurance Agency, Dunmore.
Surviving are a son, John and wife, Michele Giorgio, Exeter; a daughter, Debbie and husband, Craig Kimmerle, Dunmore; five grandchildren, John Jr.; Marissa; Lauren; Maureen; and Jenna; three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Conor and Nicholas; and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services for the family were conducted from Albert P. O'Donnell Funeral Home, 2025 Green Ridge St., Dunmore. Interment in Fairview Memorial Park.
