ASHTABULA – Ruth G. Guest, 90, formerly of Jefferson passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Country Club Retirement Center.
She was born January 30, 1934 in Wilkinsburg, PA, the daughter of Everett and Wilhelmina Frances (Schneider) Peterson and had been an Ashtabula County resident most of her life.
A graduate of Jamestown High School, she worked as a punch press operator for Target Stamping and later as a waitress at the Wishing Well restaurant for many years prior to her retirement.
Ruth enjoyed coloring with colored pencils and was always caring for others. Her favorite treat was Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Her survivors include two sons, Joseph (Cheryl) Kume of Weatherford, TX and Tim (Jacklyn) Kume of Williamsfield; two daughters, Doreen (Chris) Nowakowski of Pierpont and Barbara (Gary) Westerhouse of Andover; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her twin sister, Evelyn Consiglio of Medina.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Kume, Sr. (who was the father of her children), Chester Limkelde and Howard Guest; two sisters, Mary Lane and Priscilla Owen; one brother, Everett Peterson, Jr.; and her parents.

A graveside service will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Maple Grove Cemetery, Andover where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Chester.
