Ruth Hardtke Obituary
Ruth Ann Hardtke, age 77, of Edgewood, Kentucky, passed away on May 2, 2025, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, in the Hospice unit. Ruth was devoted to her family and found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
Before retiring from U.S. Bank, she was employed for several years at the former Value City Department Store in Latonia.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Steven Hardtke; her son, Richard Hardtke; and her parents, Albert and Ruth Perry.
Ruth is survived by her sons, Ken Hardtke (Lisa) and David Hardtke (Patty); her brothers, Ron Perry, Larry Perry, Charlie Perry, Bob Perry, and Wayne Perry (Jeannie); her grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler, Emily, Chrissy, Tiffany, Ashley, and Destiny; and great-grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, Brooklyn, Jonathon, Michael, Weston, and Chelsea.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home (Chapel A) from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Independence Cemetery.
Floral Hills Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hardtke family during this time.
