Ruth I. Hasbrouck, 82, of Titusville, went to her Eternal Home with God on Saturday, February 28, 2026, following an extended illness. She was at home, surrounded by her family.
Ruth was born in Titusville on September 10, 1943, to the late Gerald W. and Anna Louise Miller Fox.
She attended Townville Schools.
She met Edward M. Hasbrouck while working at Murphy's in Titusville. They dated for about a year. They married on November 17, 1962, and recently celebrated their 63rd anniversary.
She was a member of the Diamond EUM Church and later attended the Chapmanville Community Church.
Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, she loved being a hostess when they came to visit. She enjoyed camping, cooking, canning, and playing cards, and driving around in her golf cart. Ruth dedicated many years to being a foster parent with Ed. Over the years, they cared for over 50 children and teens. She was active with fundraising for Boy Scout Troop 97 of Hydetown for many years. She loved her many dogs, most recently, Mia and Gizmo.

She is survived by her husband Ed of Titusville; her three children, Keith Hasbrouck and fiancé, Linda Shorts-Timko, of Yuma, AZ, Penny Helmbold of Titusville, and Eric Hasbrouck of Titusville; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She also left behind two bonus daughters, Candi O'Neil of Seneca, and Pamela Rosenberg of Titusville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Louis Fox and Shirley Peeples Smith.
Final respects can be given on Saturday, March 14th at the Chapmanville Community Church, 1043 LeBeouf Trail Rd. Titusville from 1-2 pm, at which time a memorial service will be conducted. Luncheon to follow in the church basement.
Interment will be at Troy Center Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Chapmanville Community Church 1043 LeBeouf Trail Rd, Titusville, PA 16354 or Lakeland Area Hospice 1005 Peninsula Drive, Suite B, Erie, PA 16505.
