Ruth A. Horton, age 92, of Wellston, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was Born September 27, 1923 in Coal Township, Jackson County, Ohio, to the late Lewis W. Click and Jessie Giffin Click. Ruth was a 1941 graduate of Coalton High School and a graduate of Portsmouth Business College. She was a loving wife and mother and was also a former store clerk at Click's Groceries in Coalton. Ruth enjoyed crocheting, but most of all, she enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Franklin L. and Connie Horton of Proctorville; grandchildren, Lyndsay Jo Rushden of Charlotte, North Carolina, Franklin Jedediah Horton of Proctorville and Joseph Nathaniel Horton of Springfield, Massachusetts; great-granddaughters, Addy and Lily Horton and Chapel and Bexley Rushden; sister, Marcella Trace of Wellston; sister-in-law, Mary Click of Dayton, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Isaac Frank Horton in 2008; daughter, Sandy L. Horton and brother, Lawrence Click. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 A.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Wiebe officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Coalton.
