Ruth Ellen King, 73, of Wadsworth, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Summa Barberton Hospital after a period of declining health.
Ruth was born on February 15, 1952, in Parkersburg, West Virginia to William Alonzo and Regina Mae (Woodring) Lemon. Ruth had worked for Wadsworth Rittman hospital for 22 years as a housekeeper before retiring in 2010. In her spare time, she enjoyed going camping, reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family who she deeply loved.
Ruth is survived by her daughters, Effie (Rich) Jones of Wadsworth and DeeJay (Steve Myers) King of New Franklin; grandchildren, Valerie (Ryan) Smith, Brittney (Cody) Smith, Clayton Helton, Alonzo (Kerry) Helton, Rachel Young and Kreeley Myers; great-grandchildren, Isabella Roush, Chloe Roush, Lucas Roush, and Katy Cary; sister, Linda Buohl, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mary Riggenbach, Charlotte Barger and Helen Ostrander, and her brother Gene Lemon.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
