Ruth Lockwitz, 94, formerly of St. Joseph, went to meet her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, on Friday, December 10, 2021 at her home in Deltona, Florida.
Ruth was born June 28, 1927 in St. Joseph to Karl & Martha Wetkowski. She graduated from St. Joseph High School, class of 1945. On June 1, 1947, she married Robert W. Lockwitz in St. Joseph. Ruth devoted her life to loving her Lord and caring for her family. She was a life-long member of the First Church of God in St. Joseph before moving to Florida where she was a member of Crossings Community Church of God in Sanford, Florida. She and Bob enjoyed boating and spending time with their friends at West Basin Marina in St. Joseph. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ruth is survived by her husband Robert; three children-Valerie (Anthony) Bartalone of E. Lansing, MI, Gary (Faith) Lockwitz of Mesa, AZ, Kevin Lockwitz of Deltona, FL; six grandchildren-Amber (Christopher) Horton, Janna (Shaun) Bitterle, Melissa Pajot, Chuck (Carol) Lockwitz, Jim (Heidi) Lockwitz & Zena Lockwitz; thirteen great-grandchildren-Nathan & Marisa Horton, Andrew, Jacob & Matthew Bitterle, Rosemary & Anthony Pajot, Riley Gloe, Aliyah, Luke & Aubrey Lockwitz, Sophia & Penelope Lockwitz; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by eight siblings-Leonard, Albert & Herbert Wetkowski, Linda Menchinger, Frieda Menchinger, Zena Petruschke, Clara Stafford & Erna Henry.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00am, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Crossings Community Church, 514 Walden View Drive, Sanford, Fl 32771.
