Ruth Naomi (Fahnestock) Miller, age 76, of Newmanstown, PA, passed away at home on Friday, September 5, 2025. Born July 22, 1949 in Mechanicsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Alma (Lebo) Fahnestock.
Surviving is her husband, Lynn. Seven children: Lynn Jr. of Lebanon, PA, Susan (Marlin) Nolt of Romulus, NY, Robert (Kristan) Miller of Shermansdale, PA, Bryan (Vanessa) Miller of Sinking Spring, PA, Martha (Wendell) Nolt of Middletown, PA, Rachel Miller of Lebanon, PA, and Thomas (Arlena) Miller of Shermansdale, PA. She has 17 grandchildren : Sarah Nolt, Keith Nolt, Aaron (Brenda) Nolt, Faith Nolt, Rhoda Nolt, Irene Nolt, Jacob Nolt, Kevin Nolt, and Clara Nolt. Ashlynn Miller, Bryan Miller, II., and Davis Miller. Wendell Nolt, Jr., Ruth Nolt, Duane Nolt, and Rosalie Nolt; and Ellie Miller. Also surviving are 3 brothers: Roy (Rosella) Fahnestock, Dale (Elsie) Fahnestock, and Dean (Barb) Fahnestock; and one sister-in-law: Mary Ann (John) Fahnestock.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Paul Fahnestock and John Fahnestock, and one grandson, Colson Miller.
Ruth graduated Cumberland Valley Highschool in 1967. She worked at the Cumberland County Home before entering Carlisle School of Practical Nursing. She graduated in 1970.
Ruth was baptized at the age of 10 and became a member of Lower Cumberland Church of the Brethren. She married Lynn H. Miller on April 15, 1972. They moved to Lebanon County in 1976 and joined the Dunkard Brethren Church in 1988, where they served in the ministry for 25 years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Hoffman Funeral Home, 2020 W. Trindle Rd. Carlisle, PA. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Boiling Springs, PA. Viewings will be at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M. Friday, September 12, 2025, and from 10-11 A.M. Saturday, September 13, 2025.
