Ruth M. Pearce (nee Kline) passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 24, 2026 due to complications from COPD/ Heart Failure. Born in Madera PA on Oct 21, 1933, Mrs. Pearce married James D. Pearce on St Patrick's Day in 1956, married 64 yrs who precedes her in death in August 2020. Moving from Clearfield County PA to Delco in the late 1950's. Mrs. Pearce was the last living person on both the Kline & Pearce family's 12 children in total, she was 92 years old. Graduated from Moshannon Joint High School, Madera PA in1951.

Also preceding Mrs. Pearce in death are, her parents George & Mary Kline of Houtzdale PA, three brothers, three sisters, her daughter-in-law Meg Pearce along with several nieces & nephews. Mrs. Pearce is survived by her loving children, Bill Pearce (JoJo) of Swarthmore PA, daughter Sandy McAleer (James) of Morton PA, Grandchildren Mandie Edgett (Amos) of Texas, Brett Pearce (Victoria) of Georgia. Three Great- Grandchildren Carter & Ryan Edgett, Kylee Pearce and a baby boy due in August.

Mrs. Pearce was a resident of Delco more than 68 years, before moving to Plush Mills Senior Living Community, Wallingford PA in Feb 2024 where she lived for two years in Independent Living. There, she made a beautiful home for herself, her decorating skills inside and out and for every holiday were complimented by all throughout the community.

Mrs. Pearce was a 70 year member Order of Eastern Star, a 63 year member of Norwood United Methodist church, she delivered Meals-On-Wheels for Taylor Hospital as she took pride in helping the sick and/or elderly whenever possible. In her early years, Mrs. Pearce was a co-owner of a Hair Salon in Phillipsburg PA. Once she moved to Delco, Mrs. Pearce was employed by Great Scot Markets Norwood PA, Jack Lang @ Springfield Mall, and Springfield Ford in the 1990's. Finally retiring at 84 yrs old from a small office environment. Mrs. Pearce had exceptional secretarial & data input skills, always eager to learn new computer programs. She was a dedicated, smart, quick-witted individual.

Mrs. Pearce was an avid reader, loved any type flower, and a good cup of "Hot" coffee while reading the Delaware County Times, an over 60 year subscriber. Mrs. Pearce "never met a stranger", always a kindhearted person, she met everyone with a friendly smile. She loved her family, friends and neighbors. Sending cards for every holiday and sometimes "just because" was her special "touch of class". You never left her home without hearing "Thank you, come back soon" as you received a goody bag, she had pre-prepared prior to your arrival. MOM…..YOU will be forever Missed!!! Thank you for Everything!!!!

Friends and family may call on Saturday morning, February 28th from 9 to 9:45am followed by her Funeral Service at 9:45am at McCausland-Garrity-Marchesani Funeral Home, 343 South Chester Pike, Glenolden, PA. Burial will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Cancer Society, The Parkinson's Foundation and Loaves and Fishes Prospect Park PA are appreciated
