Ruth first attended Mississippi College for Women and then graduated from the University of Florida in 1955 with a degree in Education. Ruth was an active member of the community and could be found leading the JR League of Alexandria as President, playing tennis, teaching Sunday school at Emmanuel Baptist Church, and engaged in the Women's Bible Study fellowship.
Ruth was known as a loving wife and mother, excellent cook, accomplished seamstress, and world traveler with Charles. She had a love for the Lord and instilled that passion for Jesus in her girls.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Charles Prince; her daughters, Charlotte Prince Martin (Tommy Martin) of Suwannee, GA, Suzanne Prince Cox (Clair III) of Hernando, MS; son in law, Davis Moise, Jr of Charlotte, NC; and her grandchildren, Charles Martin, Sarah Martin, Harris Martin, Clair Cox IV, Luke Cox, Adele Cox, Lauren Moise, and Davis Moise III.
Ruth was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Prince Moise; her parents, Henry O'Dom and Freddie Wallace O'Dom; and her brother, Richard W. O'Dom.

When I met Ruth, I felt I had met my soul sister. Our bond was immediate and strong. I suspect there are others who felt that way about Ruth. She was an amazing, beautiful, gracious, charming lady , a devout Christian who helped others to a closer walk with Jesus. She and her daughters prayed me through a very trying sad time in my life. I look forward to seeing Ruth in heaven and praising God with her. Rest in peace my dear friend. And may God comfort your family with wonderful memories and promises for a glorious reunion
