Ruth Madeline Scherbarth, 96, of Somerset, KY passed from this life surrounded by her loved ones on October 5, 2024.

Ruth was born April 1, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to the late George and Laura Coulson. After raising her children, she received an MBA from Rollins College. She then pursued a successful career in business. In her free time, Ruth enjoyed traveling and visited over 175 countries. However, she will be most remembered for her incredible resilience, her unwavering faith and her deep love for her family. There aren't words to express how much she is loved and will be missed.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey & (Cynthia) Scherbarth of Plano, TX; her daughter, Pamela Scherbarth-Wilson of Somerset; two granddaughters, Sarah & (Van) Tran of Asheville, NC and Rachel & (Caleb) Barron of Somerset; three great-grandsons, Griffin and Owen Barron and Brock Tran; a great-granddaughter, Lauryn Barron; many wonderful nieces and nephews; and a host of special friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; a brother, George & (Mary Jean) Coulson, a sister, Marie & (Roy) Miller; and a great-granddaughter, Collins Barron.

Private services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Children Incorporated.
