Ruth Shindledecker, age 78, of Erie, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Nightingale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, leaving behind her large family. She was born in Uniontown, PA, a daughter of the late William and Ester Carraway. Ruth was a member of the Gospel Hill Garden Club in Erie.
She is survived by her sons, David (Marina) Shindledecker and Craig (Amanda) Shindledecker, by her brother Jeffrey (Doreen) Carraway, and a sister in law Margo Carraway. Ruth is further survived by her grandchildren, Katherine (Matthew) Dennis, Alex (Megan) Shindledecker, John (Kennidy) Shindledecker, Anna Shindledecker, and Logan Shindledecker. She was also blessed with 7 great-grandchildren that she loved dearly.
Friends are invited to call on the family Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. West Ridge, 3801 West 26th Street, Erie. Burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gospel Hill Garden Club.
