Ruth Louise Tina Fields was born to the late Willie Merit Fields and Charlotte Mary Fields on December 10, 1960, in Newark New Jersey. She attended elementary school at Warren Elementary Street School and continued her education at Waverly Street School, West Side High School and Irvington High. At the time, these school were considered the top four schools in the surrounding areas.
As a child, Ruth was very athletic and enjoyed taking part in cheerleading and skating. She loved the company of her siblings and her loved ones. As she grew into her womanhood, she was known for her fashion sense and her exquisite taste in style. Ruth was employed by the Toy Factory in Newark, NJ. In her spare time, she loved to remodel homes. Ruth was well known for her giving heart and her compassion for others. Ruth loved to dance, she will always be remembered for her dance moves and being the life of the party. Ruth loved to cook, her family and friends would travel from near and far to taste her soul food, especially at family gatherings where she rooted for her favorite team The San Francisco 49ers. She will always be known as the best cook to her family.
Ruth was a true SUPERWOMAN, her number one enjoyment in life was to be a devoted mother to her children, and a phenomenal grandmother to her grandchildren. She loved to spend her time with her grandchildren doing several activities such as playing ball, watching scary movies and cooking. She was a
very proud mother and grandmother. She enjoyed the intimate family moments bonding with her daughters and sons, as they reminisced on old times while listening to oldies but goodies.
Ruth was a legendary Aunt to all her nieces and nephews. They would and could come to her for anything, her doors were always open. They will always cherish the memories they shared filled with laughter and hugs. She was a caring and wonderful friend, they will always be able to look back on the great advice she gave and her always having a listening ear. Ruth was a community mom, matriarch, and role model for several neighborhood children. She had a hand in raising several children who will always be grateful for the impact she had in their lives.
Ruth Louise Tina Fields will be welcomed into the gates of Heaven, by her Mother Charlotte Fields, her Father Willie Fields, her Husband Charles Williams, her beloved Son Robert Fields, Stepson Tasheem Williams, her Brother Willie Fields, her Sister Kathleen Fields, her Brother Randi Fields, and her Sister-in-Law Hazel Fields.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her Siblings Jennifer and John Jackson, Kevin Fields, and Andrea Fields. Her Children Zakiyyah, Shakima, Andrea, Warren, Shawn, and Anthony Fields. Her Grandchildren Raquan, D'asia, Tyron, Omar, Zalliyah, Jalen, Ty'dre, Ty'mani, Zy'Shawn, Jakai, Bre'ele, Amari, Ty'mir and Shaliyah. The Father of her Children Robert Wilson. Also, her Son-in-Law Cliff Williams and Daughter-in-Law Tymarah Hinton. In addition, a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Sisters-in-Law, Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces, Great Nephews and Friends.
RUTHIE WILL ALWAYS BE ENGRAVED IN OUR HEARTS. TO KNOW HER IS TO LOVE HER, HER KINDNESS, HER ANGELIC SPIRIT, HER GIVING HEART AND HER OUTSPOKEN PERSONALITY.
SHE WAS TRULY THE ROCK OF THIS FAMILY. AN ANGEL GONE TOO SOON.
