It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ryan "Osama" Lewis Butler, of Antelope,
CA. Ryan lived only a brief 18 years with us, but the impact he made on this earth ripples as far
as it is wide. Ryan was welcomed with love into this life on December 17, 2005, to his mother
and father, Victoria and Lewis Butler, in Rio Linda, CA, where he was raised as a young boy
alongside his big sister, Angel. Ryan was a talented young man, known for his remarkable
intelligence and ability to connect with others in a meaningful way. He created music to express
himself and was a self-taught horticultural enthusiast. Ryan embraced his talents and grew to be
a fine young man who was well-known for being just as sharp and quick-witted as he was loving
and dedicated to his family. Earlier this year, Ryan graduated from California Virtual Academy as
Class of 2024, receiving his high school diploma. He was devoted to the Islamic faith and lived
his life with kindness and compassion, always striving to be a good human.
Ryan will be deeply missed by his father and mother, Lewis and Victoria, sister, Angel, nephew
and niece, Lorenzo and Audrina, and many many family and friends. He will be remembered for
his fierce spirit and his unwavering dedication to his passions. For whatever name you will
remember him by best, may our sweet boy, Sleezy, rest in peace, knowing that he touched the
lives of all who knew him.

In loving memory of Ryan "Osama" Lewis Butler,

Someone so special will not be forgotten. His authenticity was something I got to experience first hand. Though our interactions were brief, it was clear he was genuine and down-to-earth. - Indeed, we belong to God, and indeed to Him we will return.
