Ryan Allyn Dettloff

Ryan Allyn Dettloff was born on February 15, 1980, in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of two children born to the union of Allyn "Rick" Dettloff and Trula (Bussell) Dettloff. He attended Dundee High School, graduating with the class of 1998. While in high school Ryan stayed active participating in basketball and Little League baseball.
An avid gamer, Ryan enjoyed playing Xelda and Mario. He was big into anima and would be considered an "Otaku" the Japanese term describing someone with an intense interest in anima, manga, video games, or other related media. His favorite anima character was "Sailor Moon" from the Manga series.
Ryan Allyn Dettloff, age 44 of Monroe passed away at his home unexpectedly on Sunday; October 20, 2024. His passing was preceded by his grandmother: Bonnie Dettloff and his great grandparents.]
To cherish Ryan's memory, he leaves his loving parents: Rick and Trula Dettloff of Dundee; a sister: Ashley (Curtis) Robinson of Morriston, Florida; his paternal grandfather: Norman Dettloff of Dundee; a nephew; and a great aunt: Margaret Dettloff.
Friends may gather from 11:00am until 1:30pm on Monday; October 28, 2024, at Merkle Funeral Service, 297 Tecumseh Street, Dundee, Michigan 48131 (734) 529-3156. A Celebration of Ryan's Life will begin at 1:30pm also at Merkle's with Pastor Brad Luck, formerly of Dundee United Methodist Church, officiating. Procession will follow to Oak Grove Cemetery in Dundee, Michigan for burial.
