RICHMOND, Ind. – Pastor Ryan M. Goodson, age 39, of Richmond, Indiana, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Reid Health.
Born April 8, 1985, to Mike and Kathy L. Richard Goodson, Ryan was a life-long resident of this community and graduated from Richmond High School in 2003. He was Pastor at Bible Baptist Church. Ryan was also an evangelist for many years ministering throughout Indiana. He loved the outdoors, enjoying fishing, hunting, and camping. Ryan was a man of many trades and talents and was very skilled at so many things. He was a very loving husband and daddy, but more importantly, was a true man of God. Ryan will be remembered for his last sermon titled "But God".
Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Jessica Mullins Goodson; son, Isaac Goodson; mother, Kathy (Rob Rader) Kelly; grandmother, Martha Tucker; mother and father-in- law, Kyle and Ruth Mullins; sister-in-law, Christina "Sista" (Matthew) Reed and their children; sister, Alison "Sis" (Adam) Guy; aunts, Jenny Messer, Stacey Cooper, and special aunt, Tracy Chesher; uncles, Donnie (Dana) Richard, Levi Richard, Randy (Regina) Tucker, and Steve (Crissy Stewart) Goodson; niece, Adalee; nephews, Atlas and Aslan; great uncle, Toby Richard; other extended family; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Goodson; grandparents, Tom and Donna Goodson, and Ronnie Richard; and uncle, Ronnie Richard.
Visitation for Pastor Ryan M. Goodson will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Bible Baptist Church, 4274 U.S. 27 North, Richmond, Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024, at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Fletcher Callahan and Pastor Bill Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery.
