Thomas J. McKee

Thomas J. McKee, age 90, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Friends Fellowship Community with his children by his side. Born August 12, 1935, in Richmond, Indiana, to Ralph and Mabel Martin McKee, Tom lived in Wayne County all of his life. He was a 1954 graduate of Richmond High School and retired from ALCOA as a tech services manager. Tom was a member of Centerville Christian Church and Forest Hills Country Club, where he was a former president. He volunteered for Junior Achievement and was a consultant for Manpower. Tom was a former president of the Centerville Town Board and also the Economic Development Committee. He served on the board that oversaw the building of the new jail. Tom traveled extensively throughout the world with his job at ALCOA and also when he served on the Economic Development Committee. He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid golfer. Tom loved his family dearly.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda (Terry) Hyndman; sons, Daniel J. (Rebecca) McKee and Tim (Duretta) McKee; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; son in law, Jeff Culbertson; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. McKee, who died in 2023; daughter, Sherry A. Culbertson; son, Kenneth McKee; sister, Helen Shute; and brothers, Don Bookwalter and Ross Eugene McKee.
Visitation for Thomas J. McKee will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
