To the friends and family of Ryan Lamar Hunt,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Ryan Lamar Hunt, 36, of Alexandria, Virginia, who was surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Ryan was born on April 20, 1989, in Arlington, Virginia, to Carolyn Hunt and Barry Stuart. He graduated with numerous honors from Hayfield High School in 2008 before pursuing his passion for High Performance Automotive Technology at the University of Northern Western Ohio.

After college, Ryan began his distinguished automotive career at Koons Chevy/Ford in Tysons Corner, Virginia, where he earned multiple certifications, including his ASE. He went on to serve as a Master Technician at Honda, Karen Radley, WPPA, and Pohanka Hyundai in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Driven by his dreams and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, Ryan established his legacy business, "Slomotion Garage," dedicating himself to his mission and serving the community he cherished.

In 2006, Ryan met Helen Hunt, and their journey together led to marriage and the beautiful family they built, including their son, Riley James Hunt, and their daughter, Chloe Elizabeth Hunt. Ryan and Helen shared a vibrant life, filled with racing, motorcycle rides, four-wheeling, quality family time, entertaining friends, family outings, ammunition training, boating, movie nights with the children, listening to music, rescuing others, towing cars, building classic cars, fabrication, attending car shows, painting projects, performing hydraulic tricks, water activities, church services, and so much more.

Ryan accomplished an extraordinary amount in his lifetime. He also proudly served as President of the Infamous Ones Motorcycle Club. Ryan's memory will forever be cherished for his infectious smile, remarkable character, loving personality, sincerity to his customers, compassionate care for others, invaluable mentorship, diverse hobbies, exceptional gifts, skills, talents, and above all, his profound love for his children, family, and friends.

Ryan was a determined spirit and a winner in all his endeavors, overcoming many challenges related to his legs and feet as a child. He was a beacon of courage and strength, known for being the shortest but the brightest light at every gathering. In his younger days, our mother's home was famously known for its "Fast and the Furious" energy!

Ryan recently rededicated his life to Christ, seeking to be an example for his children and embrace a new chapter filled with faith, hope, and love. His legacy will live on forever.

Ryan is survived by his wife, Helen Hunt; his son, Riley Hunt; his daughter, Chloe Hunt; his mother, Carolyn Hunt; his father, Barry Stuart; his brother, Corey Hunt; his sister, Lakeya Lorraine Hunt; his Godmother, Regina; his extended brothers, Marvin, Barry Jr. and Brenden; his two sisters and a host of special brothers and friends, Daryl, AJ, Carlos, Mike, Adrian, Mikey, Nick, James, and Erik and others. As well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ryan was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Hunt, and his grandmother, Ethel Hunt.

If Ryan were here today, he would undoubtedly say, "Don't cry for me, I made it in, and I hope to meet you at the gates!"
