Ryan P. Kennedy 1993 - 2022 West Springfield On July 31, our cherished son and little brother, Ryan P. Kennedy, 28, died unexpectedly. He lived and worked in West Springfield and was a 2011 graduate of West Springfield High School. Ryan was passionate about music. After learning to play trombone and guitar as a boy, he later taught himself to play drums and several other instruments. Ryan spent much of his free time composing music and would even sing when he thought nobody was listening. Ryan grew up playing hockey, and was an avid Boston Bruins, Red Sox, and Celtics fan. Born on September 8, 1993, Ryan leaves his parents, Cynthia (Murphy) Kennedy of Ludlow, and his father, Brian Kennedy of Chicopee. He also leaves his brother, Conor, and sister-in-law Karlyn, of Tampa FL; his brother Brendon of Westfield; and his sister, Erin, brother-in-law Stephen, and niece, Poppy, of Saunderstown RI. Ryan is survived by three grandparents, Sandra Peterson of Ludlow; Teresa Kennedy of Chicopee; and David Murphy of West Springfield. Ryan also leaves his beloved cat, Zuma. Ryan will be dearly missed by his close circle of friends, many of whom have known him since childhood. A Memorial Service will be held TUES 10 AM at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., W.SPFLD. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held MON from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ryan's name can be made to The Ryan P Kennedy Memorial Fund.
