Ryan Olsson Obituary
Ryan was a 2009 graduate of Chagrin Falls High School and 2013 alumnus of Kent State University. He overcame adversity at an early age by surviving brain cancer, and drew inspiration from that fight in dedicating his own life and career to helping others with disabilities. His calming instinct, humor and intuition were the catalysts for all of his relationships. Ryan had lifelong interests in art, music, and Cleveland sports.
The family would suggest contributions in memory of Ryan to Empower Sports, 3210 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115.
Memorial Service Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home, 33650 Solon Road, Solon. Officiating minister is Ryan's aunt, the Rev. Dr. JoAnn Ford Watson. Interment private, Ashland Cemetery. The family will receive friends AT THE FUNERAL HOME FROM 12 NOON UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE. Dearest Nancy, Matt and Andrew,
We loved Ryan and he and you all have indelible places in our minds and hearts.
We had every intention on being there tomorrow, to be a presence for you, Nancy, as everyone else from our office is in storm's way... as are we.

I am so sad to hear of his passing. Ryan was such a gentle, kind soul. He was one of the best care-givers of my late brother. Our whole family loved Ryan. He was such a gift. My condolences to your family. I hope he and Albert will pass the football around in heaven. You were too good for this world Ryan. You will be missed.
