Ryan Matthew Smith, age 27, passed away unexpectedly on February 7, 2025.
Ryan was a graduate of Springfield High School, where his love for music and sports was evident to all who knew him. A talented songwriter, Ryan poured his heart and soul into his music, creating songs that touched those who heard them. He had a deep passion for sports, especially ice hockey and skateboarding, and could often be found enjoying the thrill of these activities.
Ryan found immense joy in traveling, and his heart belonged to Germany, where he created lasting memories and friendships that he cherished deeply. His adventurous spirit and warm personality made him a beloved friend to many.
Ryan is survived by his loving parents, Eve (Chad) Lauletta and Bill (Karen) Smith. He was a beloved grandson to Darlene and Perry Silverberg, and Dale Lauletta. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Deborah Smith, and Charles Lauletta. Ryan is also survived by his siblings, Jacelynn, Charlie, Jordan Lauletta, and Brady Smith, along with cherished cousins Gavin, Ava, Aspen, Aria, Cody, Gray, Marleigh, Emerson and Sophia. He leaves behind a supportive and loving extended family, including aunts and uncles Jaime Smith, Evan and David Silverberg, Mike (Jenn) Lauletta, and Lauren (Eji) Maxilom
Ryan's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His spirit, creativity, and zest for life will continue to inspire and be deeply missed.

Dale, I talked to my brother, Tim, today and he told me that you have lost your grandson, Ryan. I am so very sorry for your tragic loss. I am sure you are heartbroken. May God give you peace and hold you in the palm of His hand.
