Ryan Wallace Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brasco & Sons Memorial Chapels - Waltham from Aug. 14 to Aug. 21, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Ryan William Wallace, 24, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, passed away suddenly on August 10, 2025.

Ryan loved anything to do with history and had just returned from a mother-son trip to Gettysburg. He enjoyed writing, playing video games-especially with his sisters-cheering on the Buffalo Sabres, and rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers. A devoted board game player, he was famous for reading the rule book cover to cover before starting, ensuring every game was played exactly as intended. He often described life's challenges-or even a tricky game-as "a doozy," a phrase that will forever remind his family of his humor and warmth.

He will be remembered as the "best girl brother" to his two younger sisters, his father's constant companion, and his mother's pride and joy. Known for his kind, caring, and loving nature, Ryan never put himself first-he was happiest when his family was happy. He had an incredible sense of humor, loved games of all kinds, and found joy in life's simplest moments. Though larger than life, he preferred to remain in the background, quietly taking in every detail.

Ryan is survived by his beloved parents, Jeffrey and Colleen Wallace; his sisters, Kendra and Amanda Wallace; and Amanda's fiancé, Christopher Milholland. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Kathleen Nelson, Reid and Kathleen Lyons, as well as Phillip and Mary Ulias, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his cherished dog, his "son," Castiel.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, William and Inez Nemeth, and Robert and Joan Cowie; grandparents Judith "Judy" Ulias, Robert Wallace, and Walter Nelson.

Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Ryan's life to remember the love and friendship he shared with so many others in his lifetime during Visiting Hours in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on FRIDAY September 5th from 4pm until 6pm.
