She is survived by her devoted husband Jonathan and two loving sons Charlie and Jameson, who were the loves of her life.
She was born on November 17, 1980, in Iowa to her parents Robert Gillum and Terri Sager. They survive, along with stepmother Kathy Gillum and stepfather Elza Sager. Also surviving is a sister, Randi (Richard) Wagner, niece Evelyn, step siblings, Megan, Paul, Jill, Eric, and countless friends and family members.
Ryanne attended St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, where she earned her education degree while exceling in academics and softball.
She had a lifelong passion to teach. She taught with the Virginia Beach City Public Schools for 20 years, Arrowhead Elementary and North Landing Elementary. During this time, she was named Teacher of the Year at Arrowhead Elementary and won numerous other accolades.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12 pm to 1 pm at Ocean Lakes High School auditorium on Saturday, December 9, 2023. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to VCU Massey Comprehensive- Cancer Center. For more information: https://vcumassey.org/honor-a-loved-one
