Rylan Reece Turner, 18, was born February 16th, 2006, and passed away August 3rd, 2024.
Rylan wasn't born in Texas, but his mom got him here as soon as she could. Rylan attended schools and church in Tomball, TX where he made many friends. If you could not find Rylan, he was off making new friends wherever he could. Rylan was always ready to play ball, games, tell jokes, and do anything he could to make everyone laugh. A couple of his childhood fears were automatic toilets and wasps. If you were ever around to encounter either, you know exactly how true of a fear this was! His food group of choice was chips and queso with a side of every type of candy. Mountain Dew was quite often the blame for his active energy. At a young age he learned the importance of faithfulness to the House of God and as a small child you could often find him attending prayer meetings learning the power of prayer in all situations. Rylan was quite often known for losing or breaking his glasses or contacts, but he never failed to make sure those around him saw they were deeply loved by him. Rylan was a lover of music and people. He had tremendous love for his family and friends. He would make a point to tell his loved ones that he loved and appreciated them as often as possible, sometimes with a text but most often with his contagious smile and a genuine hug. If he ever told you he loved you, he meant it, and there's nothing that could have changed that. He loved beyond drama, failures, and hardships. Loyalty to those he loved was his trademark. Rylan was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, brother, Dad, and friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Anthony Turner and Ashton Strahan Turner; one soon to be arriving daughter, Blakely Mae Turner; siblings, Landon Turner, Kaden Turner and Peyton Turner; grandparents, DeWayne and Renella Turner, Phillip and Colleen Groce; uncle, Tyler Strahan; aunt, Jordan Cross and husband, J. Paul, numerous other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his uncles, Roger Turner and Jason Turner.
Family to receive friends 5pm to 8pm Friday, August 9th at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church of Tomball, Texas. Funeral service to be held 10am Saturday, August 10th at the church with Pastor Floyd Barentine and Rev. Victor Alba officiating. Interment to follow at Klein Memorial Park FM 1488,
Magnolia, Texas.
