Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gray Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Oct. 1, 2025.
With heavy hearts and a love that transcends time, we celebrate the life of Rylee Makenna Baird, a radiant soul who graced this world for thirteen precious years. Born in Macon, Georgia, on August 4, 2011, Rylee was a child of creativity, laughter, and boundless love. On Saturday, March 8, 2025, she left this world far too soon, but her beautiful spirit will forever linger in the hearts of those who knew her.
A free-spirited and wonderfully unique soul, Rylee found her happiness in the digital world, where she loved playing Roblox, creating Gacha animations from the comfort of her bed, and mastering the art of saving (and spending) her hard-earned money on her favorite games. She adored drawing, her talent evident in each stroke of her pen, and her penmanship was as beautiful as the words she put to paper. Her voice carried an undeniable sweetness, a melody that will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched.
Rylee loved her family deeply-her twin sister, Khloe, her brother, Jeremiah, and her cherished Grammy and Papa were her heart's home. She found joy in the small things: McDonald's runs, delicious soup from Little Tokyo, and the comforting presence of her beloved black bear, JuJu. She was captivated by the magic of anime, the music of Elvis, and all things Gothic and emo, dressing in outfits that truly embodied her unique, artistic spirit.
Her sense of humor was infectious. Even in moments of sadness, she knew how to bring light-making funny faces, pretending not to care about things just to make others laugh, or simply being there in the way only she could. She was strong-willed, fiercely kind, funny, loving, creative, and headstrong, a young soul with wisdom beyond her years. She taught us to save money, cherish laughter, and embrace life unapologetically.
Rylee's legacy is one of love and authenticity. She lived fully, loved deeply, and left a mark on this world in a way that only she could. She will be profoundly missed by her father, Joshua Mark Baird; mother, Cassie Clance Larry; twin sister, Khloe Grace Baird; brother, Jeremiah James Baird; grandmothers, Kim (Miles) Witt and Heather Crews; aunt, Debbie Baird; uncle, Tony (Debye) Baird and Craig Amerson (Tisha); her very dear friend, Kelsey Kitchens; and numerous cousins, family, and friends. She now joins her grandfather, Mark Baird, and great-grandparents O.F.and Betty Baird, great grandparents, Jimmy and Jonnie Amerson in a place of eternal peace.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory, 4378 Gray Highway,
Gray, Georgia 31032, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 6:00 PM, officiated by Rev. Jay Evans.
