Sadie Mei-Ping Zimmerman, 21, of Mifflinburg, went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, October 5, 2025. She was born September 25, 2004, in Jiangxi Province, China, and was adopted by Scott and Beth Zimmerman of Mifflinburg in October of 2006, at the age of two. Sadie adored her two older brothers—Brian and Eric. They were such a huge part of her world. She loved her sisters, Brian’s wife, Kayla, and Eric’s fiancée, Kymmy. She was also very close to her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sadie was dearly loved by her family, friends, teachers, classmates, and those with whom she participated in sports—especially Challenger Baseball, Mifflinburg Bocce Ball, and Track. It was easy to love Sadie. Her innocence and pure heart endeared her to everyone she met. She was a very happy individual, in many ways care-free. She loved freely, and that made her so special to all.
Outside of the special relationships in Sadie’s life, other pleasures centered around food. Her love for caramel iced coffee was world-renowned. McDonald's and Dunkin’ were favorite stops. She loved French fries, spaghetti with pepperonis (no sauce), alfredo sauce on noodles, potato chips, fried onions, and hot dogs.
As Sadie grew older, she enjoyed accomplishing things by herself more and more. Routines played a significant role in her life. Sadie loved to help around the house. She liked to do her own laundry, fold towels, and help in the kitchen with meal prep.
Sadie loved music. She loved to sing and dance with her dad to the song “Cinderella,” and did the same with her mom to the song “Open Up the Heavens.” She enjoyed toy shopping. Playing with her Paw Patrol and Top Wing toys in the basement was her thing. She loved swimming in the backyard pool, going to Pelican’s SnoBalls with her brother Eric, and playing on the Xbox and Wii. She loved riding the tea cups at Knoebels with her dad, the antique cars with her mom, and the merry mixer with her brother Brian.
Sadie had to deal with health issues since childhood. She was always brave through every procedure and new treatment. She did not let any of this keep her down. Her spirit was remarkable and inspiring. She is already greatly missed, but her family and friends rejoice knowing she is healed and safe in the presence of Jesus, and they will see her again one day with the Lord.
