Sally Herrera Campos

Sally Campos, born in Texas on June 10, 1931, passed away peacefully at home on July 4, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service. A devoted mother of six, she was also a proud grandmother to 13, great-grandmother to 34, and great-great-grandmother to 14. To many, she was simply "Grandma," always welcoming and full of love.
She is survived by her cherished brother and joins in rest her beloved son, parents, and siblings. Affectionately known as "Sunshine" during her years at a local bank, Sally had a smile that lit up every room and a heart that embraced all, treating friends like family.
Sally dedicated over 20 years to the California Employment Development Department and later worked part-time for the Pajaro Valley School District until the age of 82. Her adventurous spirit shone through her flying lessons inspired awe. She generously shared her stories, lessons, and advice, which were gifts to those fortunate enough to listen.
In her final days, Sally told her family she was tired, that she had traveled many miles in life and was ready to rest. Her legacy of love, resilience, and generosity will live on in every life she touched.
A viewing and rosary will be held at Mehl's Colonial Chapel on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 5 pm to 9 pm with the rosary starting at 7 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church at 11 am with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
