Sally Jean Cristopher passed away quietly, in her sleep, at 6:41 am August 11th. She is survived by sister Ginger, three sons: Jim, Grant, Jeff and one daughter Sara as well as nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Sally was born at Seattle General on May 4th, 1932 (two years before social security numbers were first issued) grew up in and went to school in Seattle, raised family in Kent, Washington, and lived there until 2022 when she went to stay with her daughter. In her last days and passing she was surrounded by family.

Sally's professional life includes three degrees: Fine Arts, Art History and Records Management from the University of Washington. She worked for and retired from the King County Metro Records Department in Seattle, Washington.

Sally was something of a renaissance woman. Her life, before and after retirement, was filled with art: Painting, textiles, quilts, doll clothes and anything that caught her fancy. The last few decades were filled with book making and constructing special books for family. In the past she was adept at music as well. She taught piano at Green River Community College, built and played dulcimers and played violin. She was an avid cyclist into her 70's and completed the Seattle To Portland bike ride in two days at the age of 62.

We celebrate her astonishing 90 plus years of life, family and activity. There will be a small ceremony for family but feel free to share thoughts and prayers..
