Sally Joe Tolleson, 82, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, in Garland, Texas. Born on September 24, 1942, in Fredrick, Oklahoma, she lived a life marked by compassion, devotion, and a deep love for her family and friends.
Sally was a member of South Garland Baptist Church, where she found joy and purpose in volunteering. Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life and inspired her to give generously of her time and heart to those around her. Whether tending to the church's needs or offering a helping hand to others, Sally's presence was a source of comfort and strength.
She found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life-working in her flower beds, volunteering at church, reading a good book, and spending cherished time with family and friends. Her home bloomed with color and warmth, much like the spirit she shared with everyone she met.
Sally is lovingly remembered by her daughter Cindy Braley and son-in-law Kirk Braley; stepson Jim Tolleson and daughter-in-law Heather Tolleson; granddaughters Meaghan Van Malsen and Kyleigh Rael; great-grandsons Karson Van Malsen and Maddox Rael; sister Ann Marshall; nieces and nephews; as well as good friends who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joe Tolleson; sister Carol Edwards; brother Butch Phelps; father Joe Phelps; and mother Della Phelps.
Sally Joe Tolleson will be deeply missed. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
