Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Sally Wynona R. Wilson, 87, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 1, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Alex Toms officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Wilson was born on July 7, 1937 in Transylvania, LA and passed away on April 28, 2025 in Monroe, LA. She was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Calhoun, LA. She retired as Administrative Assistant with the Office of Family Services for the state of Louisiana, serving 32 years. Mrs. Wilson served in the Monroe Quota Club, Monroe Garden Club and the Northeast Louisiana Realtors Association. Wynona had a servants heart and was always giving.
Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by her husband, Ed Wilson; daughter, Kim Wilson; parents, Solon and Agnes Ritchie; sister, Verline Harmon and her nephew, Rodney Harmon.
Survivors include her son, Weston Wilson; grandchildren, Brandon Sapsara and wife, Erin; great grandchildren, Piper and Noah Sapsara; nephew, Chuck Harmon.
Very special thanks to her caretakers, Dot Wheeler and Wanda Modicue for the wonderful care they gave Ms. Wynona.
Pallbearers will be Fred McGaha, Trey Gentile, Dean Mailhes, David Harris, Dusty Harris, and Andrew Harris.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
