Salvatrice Margaret Lombardozzi, known affectionately as Sally to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, at the age of 91 in Toms River, New Jersey. Born on June 8, 1933, in Pittston, Pennsylvania, Sally lived a life marked by love, generosity, and selflessness.
Sally was predeceased by her beloved husband, Carmen Lombardozzi, and her dear brothers, Angelo Bufalino and Lawrence Bufalino. Despite these losses, she continued to embody resilience and grace, providing comfort and support to her loved ones.
Sally's life was a testament to the power of family and the joy found in simple pleasures. She is survived by her son Vincent Lombardozzi, her devoted daughters, Mary Anne Caprio and her husband Wayne, and Jolene Mizsak and her husband John. Sally's legacy of love extends to her adoring grandchildren, Jacqueline, Vincent, Jillian, Michael, Wayne, Micaela and her fianc Kevin Murphy as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Isabella and Rae. She also leaves behind her caring sisters, MaryJo Dileo and Grace Hassey, who will fondly remember their sister's warmth and kindness.
Although Sally achieved her GED with great pride, it was her career as a seamstress for Collins Musical Uniforms that showcased her incredible skill and attention to detail. Her artistry and craftsmanship brought joy to many, as she poured her heart into every stitch.
Beyond her work, Sally's interests were centered around the things she loved most: her family, cooking, and walking. She was an exceptional cook, known for her delicious meals that brought everyone together. Her passion for walking was not just a form of exercise but a way to connect with nature and her community, often lending a helping hand along the way.
Those who knew Sally will remember her as the epitome of loving, generous, and selfless. She had an innate ability to make each person she encountered feel valued and loved. Her presence was a comforting embrace, her smile a beacon of warmth.
Sally's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of care and devotion she offered to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories and traditions she passed down to her family.
As we say goodbye to this remarkable woman, we take solace in knowing that her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. Salvatrice Margaret Lombardozzi, 'Sally,' will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will endure forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
