BLUE SPRINGS...Sam "Sammy" Littlefield, Jr., a resident of Blue Springs, died Sunday morning, August 13, 2023, in a Dothan hospital. He was 59.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 15, 2023, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Woody Brown officiating and a eulogy to be given by his niece, Olivia Baker. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the mortuary in Abbeville. Graveside services will follow in the Pine Level Baptist Church Cemetery, between Blue Springs and Louisville.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Alabama Kidney Foundation, 265 Riverchase Parkway East, Suite 106, Hoover, AL 35244
Sammy Littlefield was a lifelong resident of Blue Springs. He was formerly employed as a truck driver for most of his adult lifetime. Sammy was preceded in death by his father, Sam Littlefield, Sr. and a nephew, Eli Baker.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Mindy Littlefield Carroll (Derek), Skipperville; a son, Pruett Littlefield, Skipperville; his mother, Sheree Brown Littlefield, Blue Springs; three sisters, Diane Bourland, Houston, TX; Donna Senn (Roger), Blue Springs; and Delilah Baker (Scott), Skipperville; his grandson and best buddy, Trevor Carroll; several nieces and nephews.
