It is with great heartache and sadness that we must announce:
Samantha (Sam) Joann Baker, 32, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 4, 2024, in Huntington Beach, California.
Sam was born on October 16, 1991, to Phillip and Beverley (Griffin/White) Baker, in Noblesville, Indiana. She grew up in Arcadia and Cicero and attended Hamilton Heights High School.
She is survived by her son, Hendrix Crabtree; boyfriend Chris Crabtree; four sisters, Crystal (Baker) Anderson, Rachel (Bentley) Walker, Jenni White, and Courtney (Baker) Hodson; her stepmom Kelly (Lasley) Baker; a stepbrother Michael Lasley and several nieces and nephews.
Sam was preceded in death by both of her parents; her grandmother Judy (Wellman/Griffin) Mann; her aunt, Tami (Griffin/Hiatt) Brewster; and her stepbrother Joshua Caldwell.
What Sam loved the most was spending time with and being with her son. She was also an avid music lover. She had a beautiful voice and loved singing. Sam also loved reading, writing, hiking and being outdoors.
Sam was very strong and independent and despite enduring many difficult life challenges, she always had a loving heart and came out on the other side of all life's adversities with a smile and a great sense of humor. We love her so much. Words cannot express how deeply she is missed.
