Sammie Michael Brown, 79, of Coalfield, TN, peacefully passed away on February 27, 2025.
He was born on September 23, 1945, in Middlesboro, KY, and was the cherished son of Sam Carson Brown and Magrada Davis Brown. Michael graduated from Coalfield High School around 1962.
Driven by a strong sense of duty, he enlisted in the Air Force, where he acquired skills as an airplane mechanic. After completing his service, Michael fell in love with Debbie Brown. Together, they committed themselves to their careers at Boeing in Oak Ridge, TN.
After retiring, Michael and Debbie set off on global adventures, making countless cherished memories together. Eventually, they returned home to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Michael also enjoyed fishing and Hot Rod cars.
Michael lost his beloved wife, parents, and all nine siblings. And leaves behind a son Paul Darrell Brown and wife Megan, and together they welcomed a daughter, Moira.
Michael's other surviving family, Sister Flora Joann Risner.
Nieces Tammy, Polly, Denise, Adele, Paula, Velvet, Mary-Ann and Joy.
Great-nieces Brittany, Kara, Cha'Tara, Natasha, and Maleah, Nephews Eddie, Reid and Shawn.
Great-nephews Chris, Cody, Nathan.
Michael also shared a special bond with his great-niece, Brittany, and often expressed the joy she brought into his life.
In his final moments, Michael found comfort in his childhood home, a beloved property previously owned by his parents, Magrada and Sam Brown
He was surrounded by the warmth of family, including his dear friend Greg Carroll.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
